A Mission of Movement
The Academy at Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance is a professional ballet academy that enriches the overall culture of the city and greater metropolitan area of Asheville with a devotion to students of all ages and levels wishing to study the art of classical ballet. The Academy cultivates high standards for artistic excellence, innovation, and creativity in a positive, nurturing, and inclusive environment. We educate and develop dance artists, mentoring students to a level of excellence that allows for the pursuit of professional careers in dance as well as the development of future audiences. The Academy at Terpsicorps focuses on the individual student’s unique talent and artistic achievement both inside and outside the studio.
The Academy is the official school of Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance, Asheville's premier professional ballet company.
